Vale Regal King
Special;
Our King has died
Fran-Jo REGAL KING, the cornerstone of our herd, died peacefully this morning surrounded by his progeny, grand children and great grand children.
Regal King was a beautiful upstanding Macho. He had a magnificent bonnet, excellent confirmation, coverage from head to toe, a high amplitude and high frequency crimp, and a really gentle nature which made him so easy to handle.
We purchased Regal in the second half of 2003 from an agistor at Shanbrooke Alpacas as our first stud male and he very quickly stamped himself over our group of young females.
Without exception, every one of Regal’s progeny was a significant improvement on the dam. He carried forward not just one or two of his attributes, but every single one…crimp, lustre, density, coverage, bonnet and confirmation.
All in all Regal sired 209 crias. His progeny also performed exceptionally well in the show ring.
