Get up close with our beautiful animals.

Enjoy fabulous time in the company of these beautiful, gentle creatures. When you arrive, we will take you to meet your alpacas. First you’ll learn some fascinating facts about alpacas and how to handle them, then we will take them for a walk around our lovely farm. On the way, there are many opportunities for you to take some happy snaps, take as many as you like to remember your lovely day. During your experience we will tell you about the our “alternative view”. Meet the chickens, see our flourishing orchard and learn about composting and our vegetable growing. Alpaca Walking Experiences are a truly lovely and relaxing way to spend time with family and friends. We are based in the beautiful Strzeleckis in South Gippsland, just 4.5 km from Mirboo North.

ADULT 90 MINUTE EXPERIENCE TICKET

BOOK ADULT TICKET
This ticket is for adults over the age of 16. If you’re bringing a child under the age of 10, please check if our Parent and Child Ticket may be more suitable. Please remember alpacas are herd animals so a minimum of two tickets need to be purchased, as alpacas will not walk alone. This can be any combination of tickets as long as one walker is an adult.

CHILD 90 MINUTE EXPERIENCE TICKET

BOOK CHILD TICKET

This ticket is for children between the ages of 10 and 16. The child needs to be confident with animals and capable of walking an alpaca on their own. (an adult still needs to supervise any children under the age of 16 and must purchase an adult ticket). If your child is under the age of 10, you will need to purchase a Parent and child ticket. Please remember alpacas are herd animals so a minimum of two tickets need to be purchased, as alpacas will not walk alone. This can be any combination of tickets as long as one walker is an adult.

SPECTATOR
TICKET

BOOK SPECTATOR TICKET
A Spectator Ticket is for those who want to come along with their family  but do not want to lead an alpaca, nor help a child to lead an alpaca. You can listen to the educational talk and enjoy a lovely walk alongside your family.
 
Spectators will not lead an animal. Neither can they be the responsible adult for a child under sixteen, unless they book a full adult walking ticket. 
 
We prefer a maximum of two spectators per family group to avoid the animals becoming overwhelmed with visitors, but if you wish to bring more spectators, please contact Brigitte via email, brigitte@alpacawalks.net.
 
Please note we do not allow anyone such as taxi drivers or family members giving lifts to remain on site whilst you are enjoying your experience. Mirboo North is only 5 km away and has some lovely cafes.

We also offer birthday parties throughout the year for all ages. We provide the alpacas, you provide the food! These are lots of fun for all ages and are very popular, so make sure you book well in advance to secure your date.

Take an alpaca for a walk

Accompanied by a handler, lead an alpaca using a halter. Take a short or long walk of approximately 2.5 km. Learn about their behaviour, interaction and what makes them so unique.
